From above, the stone reads clean and rectangular, held at each corner by a claw prong that tapers to a fine talon tip, so the facets stay open to the light. In profile, the head sits high and reveals a second layer of brilliance that is invisible from the top.
That layer is a hidden halo: a continuous row of small round diamonds set into the gallery just below the girdle, wrapping all four sides of the setting.
